At Belmont Medical Centre, we are very pleased to welcome a new nurse to our staff. Lou is joining the nursing team along with Lynn and Terry. She will be working along side the nurses, while she settles in to her new role for the next few weeks. She is a practice nurse who brings with her years of expertise in women’s health. Lou lives locally with her husband and teenage children. Lou will be replacing Terry by the end of August 2020 as Terry will be retiring after working for 24 years at Belmont Medical Centre.
At level one we will continue to operate our video and phone consultations. If however you would prefer to be seen please ring us to make an appointment. Please call if you have cold, cough, sore throat, flu symptoms (respiratory symptoms) to safely manage yours. other patients and our staff’s wellbeing. You will still be able to the doctor but it will be in a managed situation.
From Tuesday 28th April – purchased influenza vaccination will be available for our patients who are aged 3 years to 64 years. We are continuing to give funded vaccines to our over 65 years of age and those under 65 years with chronic conditions Please phone the surgery to make a nurse booking. The number of patients in the surgery at one time will be limited.
- Important: Influenza vaccination for children aged 6–35 months (AFLURIA® QUAD JUNIOR) is currently available for children with a condition eligible to receive funded influenza vaccination.
Open for Routine Vaccinations, Dressings etc
- We are still open for flu vaccinations, childhood vaccines, wound dressings etc. You may also phone for a repeat of your regular medications and this can be faxed to your local pharmacy. This will be for your 3 monthly medications up to 2 weeks before your medication will run out only, to conserve supply of drugs. All our consultations and prescription fees will remain in place
- Flu vaccine appointments with the nurse will be to prioritise those over 65 years of age and those with a chronic illness. Numbers of patients in the surgery at one time for flu vaccinations will be limited.
