COVID-19 Booster vaccinations

People aged 18 and older who had their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months ago can visit some walk-in sites for a booster dose.

You can also book an appointment for a booster dose by calling the COVID Vaccination Healthline on 0800 28 29 26 (8am to 8pm, 7 days a week).

From 17 January 2022, you’ll be able to book booster doses yourself at with an interval of 4 months from the second dose. If you had your second dose at least 4 months ago, you can book an appointment now through Book My Vaccine.

Boosters are strongly recommended for anyone over 18 who has had their second dose at least 4 months ago.

COVID-19 Testing

If you have cold or flu like symptoms or are in a location of interest or a close contact and have been advised to be tested for COVID-19 you can do this at a COVID-19 Testing Centre. The nearest testing centre to us in Belmont is:

Northcote Community Testing Station, 16 – 18 College Road, Northcote (beside SaveMart), Walk-in/Drive through. Mon to Fri 8.30am – 4.30pm.

Everyone in New Zealand over the age of 5 years is now eligible for a free COVID-19 vaccination. To find out more about vaccination visit

We are currently not offering COVID-19 vaccinations at the Belmont Medical Centre however there are several local places to get your vaccination, including:
